Origins Report

Here are our pictures of Savage Saturday Night and a few of Origins in general. More will be coming from Mike and Steve soon, and we would encourage everyone to post their pics in the Con Suite section of the Forums as well. And make sure you scroll all the way to the bottom to read Matt Cutter's personal writeup of the show!

Get it here!

(Please also note that Shane is on the road for the next 3 weeks. He'll have access to email but he might be a little slow. Thanks!)

A Letter From Space (1889, that is)

Check out this missive from our glorious new colonies on Mars, courtesy of Matthew Cutter, from the upcoming Savage Worlds version of Frank Chadwick's Space 1889. And while we're at it, check out some of the art by Richard Clark. We won't have Space 1889 by GenCon as we had first hoped, but we should see it in your hands by the end of the year.

Tour of DarknessChildren of the Bush

Darryl Nichols wrote this awesome One Sheet (TM) for Tour of Darkness, our Savage Worlds tour of Weird Wars: Vietnam, but it could be used in just about any setting you can imagine. And if that weren't enough, the unstoppable Jordan Peacock created a gorgeous map AND scaled map tiles to go with it!

Joel KinstlePinnacle Officially Welcomes Joel Kinstle

(He's the one on the right, in case you were confused...) Joel has actually been with us for quite a while, working diligently at Studio2 to clean up our messes. He does graphic design and game development, and is the guy who finalizes everything for our printers. Everything you see coming out of Pinnacle in the next few months passed through Joel's hands and couldn't have been done without him.

You can find out more about Joel on the Company page here...

Buried TalesBuried Tales of Pinebox

12 to Midnight first drew attention to the little town of Pinebox, Texas back in 2003. That was the same year as the release of Last Rites of the Black Guard for Savage Worlds and the launch of a setting that has sparked the imaginations (and fear) of hundreds of fans. Over the years, the setting has grown through other adventures such as Bloodlines and Skinwalker as well as a host of freebies on the 12 to Midnight website. Now in 2009 you can experience Pinebox in a whole new way--through a dozen stories of hauntings, monsters, murder, and mayhem.

Don't miss Buried Tales of Pinebox, Texas, a 174 page anthology featuring the talents of RPG luminaries such as Shane Lacy Hensley, J.D. Wiker, and Chuck Rice, horror novelists David Wellington and Derek Gunn, and Pinebox natives Ed Wetterman and Trey Gorden... just to name a few. Visit the Buried Tales site today to see a full list of contributors, as well as bonus audio content!

Ask for TWL6001 at your local game store, because only a limited supply will be on hand at the Studio 2 booth at Origins and GenCon. Ebook editions will also be available through the usual RPG websites, and look for a Kindle edition at Amazon in the near future!

It's the End of the World As We Know It!

And I feel fine, 'cause THE DAY AFTER RAGNAROK is out!

The Day After Ragnarok is now available as a PDF at the Atomic Overmind Press webstore and will be available through DrivethruRPG and IPR in a few weeks. We are also accepting pre-orders for the print version, available by either mail order, or for pick up at either the Origins Game Fair, or GenCon. There’s even a package deal if you want both! If you want to learn more, head on over to the Atomic Overmind Press website for a load of previews!

See the world after the Serpentfall smolder. See it burn. See if you can save it.
